A poem for Courtney, written on her 19th birthday:
Nineteen today, what can we say!
Lost for words every single day.
Caught up in the wonder of your life, when you leave,
each time we ponder at your plight.
Don't blink, you'll miss her, out the door she flies,
always in first gear, never stops for a while.
The fashion changes with every outing,
jeans and heels, your hair straightened,
looking the diva with the lips pouting.
But we remember the little girl with a horse,
laughing so happy as she jumps the course.
In our backyard she groomed his mane
and trained her goat to come to her name.
Licorice, her cat sneaked in at night,
snuggled up tight, always too scared to sleep without the light. Ashleigh you go first, to see if it's alright.
So proud, so amazed, with every passing day,
at the wonder of you,
the baby we raised.
Daring, Ambitious, Unique, Gorgeous,
Hard-working, Talented,

Courtney brightened up every room
the book of her life closed with a boom
what happened to Sau no one will forgot
although some may regret
i know i didnt know her much
but her beauty was something no one could touch
we all really love and miss her
in the heaven she is in now
please r.i.p. Courtney Sau
even though i didnt know you as much as i wish,
everything i've learned about in articles and on your site,
it's like i've known you my whole life
A memorial for you Courtney, in your honor is found,
And so there is now a stone in the ground,
with your face looking up not making a sound.
All that is left for us to see,
is your photo smiling back for all eternity.
A cherry blossom tree stands tall and straight,
right where it lays just inside those gates.
A stone of black and your name in white,
written is the day you were born
and the day you died that night.
We can now go and pray, talk to you and cry for you,
tell you all the things in life we do,
all the things you would do
if you were still here with all of us too.
The things you were robbed of,
your life and your future, your dreams and goals,
that baby you wanted one day to hold.
So we lay our flowers down under that cherry tree
and say the words that don't come easily.
Courtney we love you and miss you so much,
we hold you in our hearts and crave your touch,
we cry and mourn for you every single day,
a life sentence of grief all that's left to say,
is that all we hold dear lays right here,
on these hollowed grounds we used to fear.
But we can now walk this path in all sense of calm,
there is nothing to be afraid of we will come to no harm.
