Letter From Heaven
To my dearest family, there are some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness, there is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon, and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb,
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street and you've got Me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go....from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going.....you're coming here to Me.

Courtney,
when the sun rose in the morning, it paled to your smile.
When the sun set at night, your smile took it's place.
The day is somehow quiet, slow, because you are not in it.
The nights are long and dark, where is your heart.
Pain and more pain, it won't go away, ever.
You will never come back, how can we go on living.
There is no reason to carry on, you aren't here,
you were the purpose.
What will we do to move forward without you,
we don't want to leave you behind.
How can we walk and not walk beside you,
how can we eat and know you will never have food,
how can we sleep, when you will never wake up,
how can we shop when we see your favorite jeans.
A photo is all that is left, 19yrs and just a photo.
Where is the baby, the toddler,
the child, the young woman,
where is the laughter, the fun, your smile.
Cheeky and smart, that wicked little grin,
even when you pulled a face, how beautiful was that face.
Graceful and poised, you didn't even try,
you held your head high and walked tall, long strides,
what was it about you?
It's hard to explain, there was no one like you.
You were the one who walked into a room
and the whole room looked.
You were the one, who turned heads in the mall,
it was you who came when someone was in trouble,
it was you who laughed at every joke, even if it wasn't funny.
How to describe you.......
the very best life had to offer.
Why was the best taken and the ugly ones left,
those ugly girls have life and they took your's,
your beautiful life....
a human being, a girl so loved,
a girl so wonderful, they took you away
because you had what they wanted.
You had what they could never have.
Why, why you, why did it have to be you.
Of all the people who deserved to live.
Courtney darling girl, to be on this earth now,
with all the hatred, war and terrorism,
bombs and human suffering,
you were the one bright star that shone.
Thank you for your light and your love.
We are blessed to have had you in our lives.
You made a difference.
God Bless You forever.
We thank God for you.

The Very Best Life Had To Offer
I look at her photos and she just takes my breath away.
To remember to breath is hard, to exhale is slow, I just pray.
What was it like, what did you feel, who was the last face you saw.
If I could have taken that knife for you, I would have, for sure.
Your smile seems frozen in time, forever young, forever happy in that frame.
Looking out like a blast of light, so radiant, so bright, no pain.
The pain I feel for your loss, cannot compare to the pain you felt to die.
Was there a chance for you to run, would you have, could you even cry?
No, there was no coward in you, no shame.
Our dream for you to be famous, a model one day, it was all in your name.
Courtney
Never was your name to be in print for this,
Never was your name to be front page news because you died,
Never was your name to be on a gravestone until you had lived your life and grown old.
Never in our wildest dreams was this to be told.
The lights went out when you died, yet the sun returns for you.
Tomorrow brings another day, but nothing can make you new.
Are you there, can you see me, I cry for you every day.
Memories are the only way to carry on and all I can do is pray.
Do you even know how much I miss you, did I tell you how much I love you.
They wouldn’t let me hold you in my arms to say goodbye.
They wouldn’t let me carry you home to lay you on our bed.
The way we carried you home when you were born.
This is just a nightmare in my head.
